1st Cycle of Infant Education

At Colegio San José our goal is to make children feel at home with a delicate and affectionate treatment, promoting their self-esteem and trying to develop their personality and innate abilities to the maximum through meaningful learning for them.
We have a space dedicated exclusively to developing everything from play and creativity to the skills and abilities of this age and that facilitate the socialization of children and their subsequent adaptation to the Early Childhood Education stage.

San José Salamanca HMMI Children's Center

Educational Purpose

The educational purpose of our Early Childhood Education Center is to promote the integral development of the child, in addition to completing the education with the family and making it possible to meet other children. All of the above is focused on promoting children's learning and development in a positive way.

Characteristics

The Children's Centre has the administrative authorisation to operate from the Junta de Castilla y León and the Hon. City Council of Salamanca, complying with the conditions required by the different Public Administrations:

It is located in a premises for exclusive use, consisting of 2 classrooms of more than 40m2, its own toilets and an area freestanding changing table.
It has duly qualified and qualified personnel.
It has a specially equipped space for the Food Preparation.
living room Multi-purpose of 30 square meters, with digital whiteboard and multimedia elements.
Playground with a rubber surface area of more than 75 square meters.

General Objectives

To know one's own body and that of others, its possibilities of action and to learn to respect differences.
Build a positive and adjusted self-image, and develop their affective capacities.
Progressively acquire autonomy in their usual activities.
Observe and explore their familiar, natural and social environment.
Relate to others and progressively acquire elementary guidelines for coexistence and social relations, with special attention to equality between girls and boys, as well as exercise in the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Develop communicative skills in different languages and forms of expression.
Begin to learn logical-mathematical skills, reading and writing, and movement, gesture and rhythm.

Methodology

The methodological line of the Center is organized according to the following principles of activity and experimentation, play, autonomy, globalization, interaction and meaningful learning that governs early childhood education and always starting from the knowledge of the student, his chronological age and level of evolutionary development.

All of them are based on an affective and safe climate, both physically and emotionally.
