Service-learning is an educational methodology that combines learning and community service processes in a single, well-articulated project. In our school, these projects are designed so that students not only acquire knowledge and skills, but also contribute to social well-being and community development.
Active participation, social responsibility, action and reflection, together with the experiential experience, allow our students to get to know the society in which they live, through this learning based on an education in values.
Planning our service-learning projects begins with identifying real needs in our community. Students, guided by their teachers, design activities that respond to these needs while aligning with curricular objectives. This process fosters creativity, critical thinking, and social responsibility.
The execution of the projects involves direct action in which students apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-life situations. This phase is crucial, as students experience the impact of their work, develop social and collaborative skills, and become actively involved in improving their environment.
