Orientation

The Guidance Department is a space dedicated to the comprehensive accompaniment of our students and their families. We focus on guiding them through their academic and personal development, ensuring that each receives the educational attention necessary to reach their full potential. Our team is made up of specialized professionals committed to the well-being of the educational community.

Services & Support

We offer a wide range of services, including vocational counseling, psychopedagogical evaluation, and counseling for families. Our goal is to equip students with tools that allow them to face school and personal challenges with confidence and effectiveness. In addition, we work closely with parents and teachers to create a cohesive educational environment conducive to learning.

Areas of action

The department regularly organizes actions that address activities designed to foster life skills.

For students
  • It collaborates in the detection and evaluation of the educational needs of students, advising on the response that is provided.
  • Drafts Psychopedagogical Reports, Referral Reports and Schooling Reports, in accordance with current regulations.
  • Participates in the Evaluation Boards to keep the student body up to date.
  • It coordinates with specialists and external services (EOEP, CEAS, Social Services, speech therapists, etc.)
  • It fosters a positive climate of coexistence that helps learning and personal development. It is coordinated with the person in charge of coexistence so that the school is a safe space, the students are comfortable and conflicts are resolved peacefully.
  • It assesses students' relationships within the classroom and makes early detection of cases of risk of bullying through the application of sociograms.
For Families
  • Counsels families of students with educational needs or learning difficulties.
  • It provides personalized assistance to families who request it, in an individual interview, to guide them in the problems that affect their children.
  • It promotes collaboration between teachers and students' families for their better education.
  • Cooperate through the relationship between tutors and families in solving problems that affect their children
For Teachers
  • It helps the tutorial action that accompanies the student in their personal development and emotional maturity.
  • It provides criteria for the appropriate treatment of diversity, providing a specialized psychopedagogical competence to the educational action of the Center.
  • It collaborates in the detection and prevention of developmental or learning problems, proposing intervention strategies.
  • It informs about the school, social and family circumstances that affect the teaching-learning process, at the beginning of the school year when teachers receive students in a new tutorial or at any other time, when the situation requires it

The Guidance Department is a fundamental pillar in the educational mission of HMMI Centers, and we are dedicated to being a valuable resource for our entire school community.
