In an increasingly interconnected world, foreign language proficiency becomes an indispensable tool for communication and cultural understanding. Our school recognises the importance of this learning and is committed to opening doors to new academic and personal opportunities for our students. Through our multilingualism program, we offer an education that goes beyond language boundaries, preparing our students to be competent and conscientious global citizens.
In our school we prioritise contact with two of the most spoken languages in the world, English and French, starting their learning from the early educational stages.
From the first steps in Early Childhood Education, our multilingual project is dedicated to connecting children with the world of languages. We strongly believe that early exposure to different languages enriches the cognitive and cultural development of our students, preparing them to become citizens of the world.
The English language becomes the means of communication in dynamic and creative subjects such as Physical Education, Plastic Arts and Music. By integrating English into these areas, our students practice the language in real, motivating contexts, facilitating natural and fluent learning.
In the subject of Technology, English is the main tool that allows students to access the latest advances and global trends. This combination of technology and multilingualism ensures that our students are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
Working on the different skills offered by a language allows you to gain communicative skills for your development in everyday situations. Educational innovation resources and active methodologies such as Cooperative Learning help ensure the success of our teaching strategies.
From the 5th year of Primary, we offer French as a second foreign language, thus opening a window into one of the richest and most diverse cultures in Europe. Our hands-on, experiential approach allows students not only to learn the language, but also to experience French culture in an authentic and meaningful way.
Our line, marked by the Common Table of European Languages, establishes defined levels in the different courses of all educational stages. Students thus have direct access to the skills (comprehension and oral expression, comprehension and written expression, as well as the necessary skills for their personal and pseudo-professional development in another language) that will be required later on when obtaining an Official Certification in any of these languages.
Cultural exchanges are a fundamental part of our educational approach. These experiences allow our students to experience the language in an authentic and direct way, creating bonds of friendship and collaboration with their international peers. This year, we are excited to resume exchanges with Germany and France, offering our 4th ESO and 1st and 2nd ESO students the opportunity to immerse themselves in an adventure that transcends language learning and delves into the exchange of cultures and life experiences.
